It is an installation that, by means of fans, aspirates the air, dust, fumes and gases through the collection chambers located at the source of emission and whose particles are conducted until they reach the cyclones (if there are any) in which the coarser dusts are decanted, or directly to the bag filter.
This can have an On-line design (one compartment or drawer) where all the bags are located in rows and columns as a whole, or an Off-line design (several compartments) where the bags are located in several departments/cells. In this case the bags are cleaned chamber by chamber.
These bags are manufactured in a material called needle-punched felt (sandwich structure allowing to work with high-speed ranges), and qualities such as; polyester, polypropylene, acrylic, meta-aramid, polyphenylene sulphide (procon), poly-imide (P-84), or fabrics such as, glass fibres, PTFE or Teflon.
The dust detached from the filtering bags is deposited in the charging hoppers, the very thin or impalpable dust is discharged into the chimney and the dust from the charging hoppers into a screw conveyor that transports it to the container (big-bag), where the operating cycle of the installation is finished.
Characteristics and advantages
Tetratex is able to capture very thin particles while allowing air to pass freely through the membrane.
The unique microstructure of the Tetratex ePTFE membrane comprises millions of tiny randomly connected fibrils resulting in a membrane with an effective pore size many times smaller than what the human eye can see.
